Il meraviglioso capolavoro di Santa Monica Studio è stato nominato Gioco dell’Anno nel corso della 22° edizione dei Dice Awards, evento organizzato dall’Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences.
I 2 protagonisti di God of War, Kratos e Atreus, hanno superato l’agguerrita concorrenza di Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Into the Breach e Return of the Obra Dinn. God of War, in ogni caso, non si è fermato qui, dal momento che ha vinto anche i premi per il game design, la direzione artistica, la regia, la colonna sonora, la storia, il sound design e quelli per il miglior gioco d’avventura e il miglior personaggio. L’altro gioco ad aver vinto più di un premio è Celeste, che ha trionfato tra i titoli indipendenti e gli action.
